On October 28, the Second Edition of the BVM Awards took place . This ceremony distinguishes the different players in the Capital Markets based on annual performance, taking into account certain relevant categories.

In this sense, three categories were awarded, namely, the Best Company Issuing Listed Securities, the Best Broker in the Listed Securities Market and the Best Institution for Custody of Listed Securities. 

The big winner in the Best Listed Securities Issuer category is Companhia Moçambicana de Hidrocarbonetos (CMH), which stands out for having the most liquid security in the equity segment.

Also in this category, BayPort won the classes of Most Liquid Securities in the Bond Segment and Largest Issue of Listed Securities in the Bond Segment.

The Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI) stood out in the category Best Intermediary in the Listed Securities Market. The financial institution won the class of Largest Trading Volume in the Stock Market in the Equity Segment.
Also in this category, Banco BIG won the class of the highest turnover on the stock market in the bond segment and Banco Mais won the class of the highest sponsor of listed issues in the share segment.

And the third category, Best Custodian of Listed Securities, had the big winner Banco BIG, for standing out as the largest custodian bank per shareholder registration at the Central Securities Depository.

ABSA Bank Mozambique won the class Biggest Custodian Bank by Companies Registered at the Central Securities Depository.

According to the Chairman of the Board of the Mozambique Stock Exchange, Salim Cripton Valá, the award aims at "promoting the development of the stock market by recognizing the contribution of the market players, disseminating the knowledge about the Capital Market and its importance for the economy".

Joaquim Veríssimo, Executive Director of CMH, assumed the commitment to continue to observe the good practices, so that the institution continues to achieve positive results.

On the occasion BVM presented to those present its technology-based services, namely the Investor's Portal, the Automated Quotation Bulletin, the BVM Dashboard and the BVM Mobile Application.

The Investor's Portal is an electronic service that will provide investors with educational material in the form of videos, brochures and short texts, including publications and informative guides with historical market data.
It will also make available a simulator and various statistics (dash board) on the performance of the stock market over time, providing investors with a concrete platform for further access to information and instructions on how to use BVM's services.
