The Mozambican Stock Exchange will publicly announce the results of the subscription of shares in the OPV of 2.5% of the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Plant (HCB). The event will be attended by BVM and HCB executives and managers, stock exchange operators, strategic partners of BVM and HCB, representatives of the financial consortium that leads the operation, representatives of private companies, public and state-owned companies, listed companies and in the process of admission to listing, among other guests.

After the launch of the IPO of HCB's shares on 20 May, from 17 June to 12 July the shares were exclusively subscribed to Mozambican citizens, companies and institutions, in accordance with the announcement made on November 27, 2017 by His Excellency Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique, BVM has the honor to publicly present, in a Special Session of the Stock Exchange, the results of the subscription of the IPO of HCB.

It should be noted that this Public Offer for the Sale of Shares of HCB has a unique set of characteristics in terms of its size, its objectives, priority in the attribution of shares to individual investors, the primacy of small investors, subscription for the purchase of the shares, the sale price of each HCB share (3,00 MT), giving this operation a national and inclusive scope.

In addition to bank branch offices, citizens were able to use new subscription channels for the purchase of shares through the use of new mobile technologies and mobile operators (Tmcel, Vodacom and Movitel), allowing even those investors residing in areas without banking infrastructures could participate in this IPO, thus contributing to the effective inclusion of Mozambicans.
